Wormhole Types
Live wormhole data, generated straight from the game files — windows, collapse damage, pirate density, and spawn share update automatically when the balance changes. For the full mechanics (entering, mining shards, salvage, the completion reward, collapse) see Wormholes.
Spawn cadence
Wormholes open on a random (Poisson) cadence averaging about one every 20 min, with up to 5 open at once. Where each can open is per-type — see the Zones column (common types reach Frontier; the rarer T4/T5 pockets stay Wild Drift / NULL only). Once one appears, its own window (below) sets how long it stays open before it collapses.
Types
| Type | Rarity | Zones | Window | Collapse hull bite | Pirate density | Spawn share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wisp Drift | Common | Frontier, Wild Drift | 10 min | 10% | ×1 | 40% |
| Aurora Rift | Common | Frontier, Wild Drift | 10 min | 20% | ×3 | 32% |
| Solar Wake | Common | Frontier, Wild Drift | 10 min | 30% | ×4 | 16% |
| Magnetar Storm | Rare | Wild Drift | 8 min | 40% | ×6 | 8% |
| Event Horizon | Rare | Wild Drift | 8 min | 50% | ×8 | 2% |
| Void Singularity | Legendary | Wild Drift | 6 min | 60% | ×5 | 1% |
Pirate density is the per-type multiplier on the in-pocket baseline; spawn share is each type's weight as a percent of all wormhole spawns. Rarer pockets last the least time and hit hardest, but carry the best loot.
